TradeMe workshop, Tuesday 18 September, 10 am - 12 pm

When: Tuesday 18 September, 10 am - 12 pm

Where:  Anvil House, Level 1, Room 2    .

What: This will be the thirteenth Trademe workshop. Always popular because Trademe is so useful to nearly everyone. It is very user-friendly, nothing to study, just "plug in" and explore.

We will "go live" to explore the web site, concentrating on bidding (buying) and selling a general item, with a quick look at Cars, Property, Accommodation and Social networking.

This workshop is designed to give you confidence, to show you the sequences to list an item and we will illustrate using the built in Trademe videos. Bryan will list an item. You can see how easy it is.

You will also be entertained. Bryan will tell you of the mistakes he and others have made.

To buy one must be Trademe registered which is free. If you wish to do this during the workshop please let me know when you email me. You need a "user name" i.e. Nom de Plume, e.g. mine is "2beeps", and be prepared to allow your date of birth to be displayed to all those attending! Notes, 6 pages of (94kb) will be emailed to you a few days before 18th.

Cost, $5.00 payable at the door, please try and have the correct change.
Register with   bcarver@clear.net.nz  and include your telephone number.

Digicam SLG, Thursday 20 September, 10 am - 12 pm

When: Thursday 20 September, 10 am - 12 pm

Where: Anvil House, Level 1. Room 2

What: This month, by request, we will run through the basics with a "hands on" practice of using the modes and various settings on your camera. BRING YOUR CAMERA AND MANUAL.  Not just the startup guide. If you have lost your manual still come, you will be shown how to obtain one from a web site.

We will use CAMERASIM to illustrate the result of making changes to shutter speed, aperture, ISO settings, etc.

You can meantime Google "Camerasim" and have a wee play. This is a neat teaching tool.

For some "lighten-up" entertainment Bryan will bring on a memory stick a few fantastic photos taken by Patrick Notley who is Autistic. He is just so talented.
